UPDATE:
Here is the before photo, just after the initial accident. Yeah that was a bad day for me. A ruined cool old pickup and a citation for not paying attention to old shitty Volvo’s stopped in the middle of the road. About two weeks prior I had an entirely new exhaust system installed and was in the process of getting the clutch replaced. The truck was running so good I was looking forward to driving it a lot for hunting and other backwoods adventures. It actually 4x4's really well, it’s super small and has great clearance with a very robust 4wd system.
I channeled my inner red neck and got to work with a stump and come along. I got the bumper back out to nearly spec and the radiator support is within 1/2”. I need to remove the headlight to get the rest of the corner pulled out but it’s much better now than it was.

Can we get a before picture? The old stump and ratchet is a classic. We recently utilized that to pull some wires through a conduit that was a little too small for it. Took us nearly an hour for one short section but it saved a trip to Home Depot.

What were you measuring?
![]() 07/05/2020 at 14:59 |

The distance from the fire wall to the radiator bracket. The firewall did not move from the accident. I can also get some rough measurements from the tires as the front suspension was also not damaged.

I don’t have any photos pre accident unless I dig deep on an old computer. The accident was in 2015.

Oh yeah you know it.

Oh, I meant comparing the pulled out metal vs the post accident metal. Is that picture from after you ratcheted it straighish?

That looks much better. Did you pull out the hood or did you get a replacement?

I used channel lock pliers to bend it back into position. I am also now using hood pins from JEGS to fasten the hood to the radiator bracket.
I kicked the fender with my foot to reduce the flair out from the crumple.
I am using all the tools in my tool box to fix the damage.

The improvement is noticable. Sucks that it got bent up but good to see you are (finally) taking to panel beating.
